Sometimes when S. and I are discussing what we need for our new condo, I remind him that I just might already own a particular necessity -- dutch oven, rice cooker, mixing bowl, whatever. In a box carefully labeled "kitchen."
Yeah, right.
I really don't know what I own in the way of household items. I got rid of a lot of stuff before I moved to Mexico, and I hate to admit that I can't remember what I gave away and what I decided to keep. Except for the fabric and quilts and sewing machines...
So now I'm in the process of convincing S. that we're embarking on a treasure hunt. That we will open the storage unit and find all those items we haven't been able to find in Mexico.
I hope that's the case. If not, I guess I'll have to think of some way to explain why I've been paying storage fees on a box of Anna's old shoes, camping equipment that hasn't been used in 10 years, and those ugly tables that belong to Michael's friend....
