Yes, it's been cold this winter -- some nights the temperature has dropped below 60, forcing me to pull up the top sheet and/or turn off the fan. But that's not the kind of cold I'm talking about.
Last Tuesday I had this little cough. I blamed the Monday night festivities at Rick's bar, where there are still a lot of smokers. But by Wednesday I knew that I was having more than just a reaction to cigarette smoke and late nights on the town.
Today, Easter Sunday, is the first time since last Monday that I've felt human. Somehow I've managed to spend most of this Mexican holiday week (Semana Santa) sleeping. Thanks to living so close to the beach I can watch as families from Mexico City and other far away places enjoy the long lazy days on the beach, and thanks to S. I haven't had to face the crowds to do shopping or other errands.
Now that I've lost a week of my life to sleep I have lots of catching up to do. Monday we have to order the wedding invitations that should have been ordered last week (hope they're open on Easter Monday). Tuesday is a work day, and also the day I have to talk to Immigration about my visa problem. My visa is expiring the end of the month, and as usual, I'm having trouble renewing it. I always seem to have a lot of changes to make -- now I'm switching from a work visa to a rentista visa -- and nothing I do at Immigration is ever easy. Wednesday, another work day... And so it goes.
Note to self -- if you can't think of anything to blog about, just post your schedule for the week. And if you can't find any good pictures, link to Nancy, who does a much better job of describing Semana Santa on the beach.

It sounds like you must be feeling better now...what did you have? Flu? Fresh squeezed orange juice is the best, and isn't it nice it is easy to get?
Thanks for the compliment on my Semana Santa pictures, it was a real fun time...but I am glad it's over and it's sort of getting back to normal here.
Stay healthy!
Nancy,
You do great photos. I have been drinking lots of juice, and of course getting lots of rest. I think it was just a common cold, lots of people in the office have been sneezing and coughing. And of course we were all trying to be careful not to share our sniffles, but that's not always easy to do.
